Yet just as Rory was settling into the 1 spot in the world, a young phenom from Texas emerged by the name of Jordan Spieth. Barely 22, Jordan came within a whisker of following up his Masters and U. Open triumphs with a win at The Open Championship at St. Andrews, a trifecta feat that hadn’t been accomplished since Not to be outdone, Aussie Jason Day broke through with his first major title at the PGA and roared to a 5 win season.

What’s more, Rickie Fowler grabbed the Players Championship Trophy in a thrilling playoff, breaking through in golf’s “5th major” against arguably the toughest field in golf.

This demonstrates that there is more than one way to get the job done at the highest levels of the game. Golfers like Jason and Rory capitalize on their ability to hit the ball a long way, while Jordan, Jim, and Zach play precision golf, surgically dissecting the golf course with precision shots from tee to green.

And they all make key putts when it matters most. Despite their physical differences, varying driver speeds, and swing idiosyncrasies, all the players above have one thing in common; a Repeating Golf Swing. A repeating golf swing across all clubs, driver to wedge, consistently delivers the golf ball to mowed grass vs.

Golf is an incredible game in that respect. Your scores can be inversely proportional to your age! You too can develop a true Repeating Golf Swing ; a swing that will propel your game to new heights and transform you from merely being a golfer to becoming a player.

A player has a consistent swing and game that he or she can rely on, especially under pressure in a tournament, work league match, or weekend scramble with the family. Let’s Become A Player If you are brand new to the game of golf or have reached a plateau in your scoring, then you are in the right place. If you have played for some time and are looking to end years of frustration and inconsistency, or are determined to break below a scoring level be it , 90, 80 or 70, then I am eager to show you how to do just that.

Before we get started, let me tell you a little about my background in this great game of golf as my experience and expertise is multifaceted. I am a professional Golf Ball Design Engineer by trade and have worked for the industry leaders in that arena you know the names.

Chances are you may have played with balls that incorporated my designs, and my contributions have been recognized by the United States Patent Office. I also write extensively on golf topics including instruction, equipment, and top players. My work has been published in leading golf publications in the US and Europe, and I communicate more knowledge through this other great vehicle called the Internet.

Those credentials aside, my real passion is playing the game and teaching it to others. In fact, the word obsession may more closely describe my interest in instruction.

This is, of course, why you are reading this book. You are seeking to take your game to a new level. Great, we are of the same mindset! So let me tell you a bit about my introduction to playing this game as it will show you what is possible in your own pursuit of a great swing and lower scores.

In fact I had little interest in the game of golf the first 23 years of my life. As far as I was concerned, golf was a game for nerds! Yet my Father played and often had the TV broadcasts on every weekend in the spring and summer. This all changed one hot summer evening when he dragged me to the local driving range as he was preparing for a league match the next day. Not a great start to my golf career. But before the night was through, I had managed to get a few out there into the dark sky.

And that sound off the driver was, well, quite cool. So the next day I flipped through a few Golf Digests that were lying around the house, studied a few pictures, and headed back out to the range the same night. What a train wreck! Only 1 in 5 balls were getting airborne and going in the general direction as planned.

And this was mainly because my tempo was good. And those few solid shots kept me coming back. Sound familiar? Now on another night I heard the local pro giving a lesson behind me in the stall at the end of the range.

His impact sounded like a gun shot! I had never heard anything like that sound. The crack and fizz of the ball climbing and then falling gently to the left was a sight to see. I wanted to do that, and I was determined to figure out how. Now in this game, if you spend that much time at it you may reach a level of repeatability with your swing that allows you to break It was frustrating to hit that sticking point as I would routinely play with older gents that were, shall we say, a bit round in the trunk.

These guys would smoke their way around the course literally and rack up par after par. This reality check would become one of my first data points in my pursuit of a consistent, repeating golf swing.

Great golfers walk by you all the time on the street. At about 8 months into the game I was starting to break Admittedly, those were the days the putter was working better than usual. While my ball striking was slowing improving, I was still having frequent blow up holes that kept me stuck at a mid teen handicap level.

I had not built a true repeating swing, a swing that would enable me to consistently break 80 on virtually any course in the country. With my golf addiction in full bloom, I would find myself skipping out to the course a few times a week after classes to squeeze in 18 before dark.

On one of these occasions, something unexpected happened. It was a gloomy autumn day. The clouds were rolling in and rain was on the way. But I was determined to get my round in before the storm hit. The first nine wound up in typical fashion, my usual But the back nine was a different story. I knew I had to have an efficient inward 9 holes to score well and beat the rain.

There was no room for side trips into the woods, or losing strokes to water hazards. I can still remember the eerie calm I had on that back nine. There was also a perceptible change in my body and swing. With those ominous clouds hanging overhead, I started to hit shot after shot dead square on the center of the clubface. My swing felt effortless and the club tracked right back into the ball with precision. I can remember the snap and fizz of the same Balata ball I had started the round with, an old red numbered Titleist.

My golf swing was on autopilot. I knew before each swing that contact was going to be solid and I could see the entire ball flight in my mind. My swing was repeating like never before. When it was over, I had shot 34 on the back for a total of In that one round my game and future had changed.

I had gone from being someone who played golf, to being a player. That day would fundamentally change my life as in the weeks that followed, it became clear that my engineering degree would be put to use in the Golf Industry. Sure, I wanted to design balls and clubs. But I had an ulterior motive for that pursuit. I knew that if I entered that circle I would be around the best golfers in the world. And that meant I could study their swings up close and personal, and hone in on the true essence of a Tour Caliber golf swing.

You see, that 78 was born out of a lot of hard work and there were sub 80 rounds after that one. A big piece of the puzzle was still missing. Just like when David Duval, Annika Sorenstam and Jim Furyk in shot 59, they swung the club and hit the putts, but they were equally at a loss for exactly why it happened.

Was it something that I had discovered in my mechanics that grooved my swing for those 9 holes, or was it a mental shift that allowed me to perform to my potential? One day I noticed something that all these great swings had in common that I had overlooked for years.

We know there is no such thing as the perfect golf swing. However, I want to share in this article as part of our Training Aids month at Me and My Golf, how and what training aids could help you with the different stages of your golf swing.

Just one at a time please. Only change a movement that needs changing! Changing actually might be the worst thing that you can do. The goal is to figure out what move is causing a problem, and then try working on improving the key to a repeating golf swing free download changing that area of your swing. The key is to make the changes flow with the natural motion of your golf swing as soon as possible. Creating good alignment and angles at set-up is obviously really important.

With the Alignment Pro, x can use it for alignment of club face, as well as alignment of feet. If you can have a guide for the club face, it can be a really simple fix. It sounds very simple, but using the Alignment Pro could literally solve this and be the fix you need. How you position your feet at set-up can have an influence on how you turn your body during the swing. By having your feet square at setup, you could be potentially limiting how much your hips can rotate.

We like to have both feet flared out at least 10 degrees. In the image above, we have the feet set at 10 degrees for the trail foot, and 25 degrees for the lead foot. The reason the lead foot repeatinb flared more is simply because the left hip turns more through the downswing. You can get the hinges set to any angle you want, and then just match your feet up to those angles. Your feet alignment can start to look distorted when you start flaring; this is why we put the alignment aid behind the heels.

The key to a repeating golf swing free download way to achieve this is by using the Tour Striker Smart Ball positioned between the forearms. It allows you to create a good sequence, which in-turn creates good clubface control by not letting the clubface over rotate. It also puts the club on a really good plane. Ideally, you want to try and get нажмите чтобы прочитать больше lead wrist flat at the top of the your back swing, as illustrated in the picture below. If the lead wrist has too much cup or angle in it, it can cause the driver 3 download rip face to get too open. This can create all kinds of problems in the down swing. There are many training aids that you can use to help with перейти на источник lead wrist positioning.

In dwing above illustrations we are using the Watson Hanger. By keeping the Watson Hanger against the lead forearm, it ensures the lead wrist stays flat. This is an ingredient you want to have as you transition into the downswing.

This is the most powerful position in the golf swing. The idea is to have your body moving and turning towards the target, all while maintaining the angles created by the wrists. Here we are showing another great training aid that can help you make better rotation in the downswing. This gives you the awareness of how to get your left hip clearing out of the way by focusing on the yellow sponge ball. The Total Golf Trainer has multiple uses, but we have it attached to the lead wrist.

Getting the shaft leaning forward towards the target. By accomplishing these two, it allows the club head to travel downwards when striking the ball. To help the club bottom out after the ball, we are using the Fat Plate. The Fat Plate has different versions dwonload can be used download game pc size 200 mb one for the driving range and one for on grass. It basically persuades you to improve your strike by giving instant feedback.

If you hit the plate before the ball, then you obviously have bottomed out too early. You would think it would be easy to miss the plate, but it can be surprisingly difficult. We читать статью utilizing this for the majority of the shots while you practice. It will really help you maintain forward shaft lean and produce a more downward strike through the hitting zone. This is where the magic happens. This maintains the plane and creates a consistent powerful rotation of the club face, as illustrated below in the two images.

We have again used the Tour Striker Smart Ball to maintain the structure and extension. It works well to give feedback of the key to a repeating golf swing free download break-down in the arms that is generally is caused by rhe Chicken Wing swing fault.

I really repeatig the effort you and Andy put into making super clear and detailed articles with the layered on coloured guides, details eg 10 degree back and 25 degree front and other visual cues. The more I do that the more your instruction works for me. So thanks for that! Just noticed that you snap your tk leg straight just before impact. A bent left leg puts the left hip at a нажмите чтобы узнать больше height.

A straight left leg raises the left hip. Since the left side is straight at…. Since the left side is straight at impact raising the left hip will raise the left shoulder. With the left arm straight, raising the left shoulder will, through downloas straight arm, raise the sole of the club. All this means that your swing xwing a critical few split seconds before impact that can cause a thin, thick or perfect contact dependng on the instant you choose to snap the left knee from bent to straight.

I would have thought that those instant changes would bring some fere of degradation of reliability or repeatability in the swing. Is it not vital that the platform for the swing remain at the same height throughout the swing — especially for golfers without the time or inclination to spend hours and hours repeating a swing?

Cheers Ian. But just when should the knee straighten — before, at, or after imp…. But just when should the knee straighten — before, at, or after impact. Clearly a straight lead leg helps avoid the slide fault, but a straightening lead leg also changes the platform height. The illustrations shown in the article appear to indicate the left knee instant snap straight at impact.

Even downlaod blue shading of the lead leg below the knee in the first illustration seems to demonstrate even further the knee snap at impact. Earlier videos appear to show less of a snap and more of a rapid straightening starting just before impact and completing immediately after impact. In this article the snap throws the weight on to the hell and the toes end up in the air pointing down the shot line.

In the slide prevention videos the left toes stay on the ground with the foot in the same position as at address albeit with the weight on the outside edge. I argued above that the instant knee snap could lead to contact irregularities for the less skilled or less practised downooad. But, I can see that the straight lead leg is essential to avoid the slide.

Thanks for the comment! Great point about the left knee. You c…. You can do this also without sownload your height. Some golfers will straighten it at impact and some will do it slightly after. Hope that makes sense Ian? Just one last point. Check детальнее на этой странице the watering system jets behind Piers. I guess that means that the first illustration is not a continuous swing. It looks as if it gofl be a series of posed positions. If this theory is correct then it should not be a surprise that some posed positions are not exactly the same as they would be in a continuous swing where individual frames of a video have been isolated.

Note also the sudden appearance ссылка на подробности the orange ball at the end of the swing instead of the iron club head at the start of the swing in the first illustration.
