I know full well how difficult this can be. Second: You mention two versions of your firmware – eraseflag0 and eraseflag1. However the download link you provided only leads to the “eraseflag0” version of the firmware. What happened to the “eraseflag1” version? It comes pre-rooted and – with all the development artifacts left on it – including the goldfish virtualization code – I suspect it has a development firmware version that was released to the wild. As expected, Eken support is nowhere to be found.

The firmware version is V2. I don’t remember. I was attempting to do the external-to-internal swap you mention above and I suspect I partially corrupted the main “internal” storage as it now shows zero available space. Additionally, I have managed to create a “soft” boot-loop. Any and every reboot returns to the startup process as if the device was nuked to factory settings. Any changes to the system, app downloads, etc. It behaves as if it were nuked every time it restarts.

In fact, the micro-USB connector doesn’t appear to be working at all anymore. Going into recovery mode and nuking it back to the Stone Age does not help.

Using a terminal emulator, in superuser root mode, I cannot un-mount or fsck any of the system partitions, even if I use the “-f” flag. I have a second copy of this tablet that I hope I can “dd” an image of the firmware from. What I think I need is, at the very least, some version of the firmware that is compatible with this tablet that I can flash from SD to regain control of the tablet’s features. Ideally, an exact replacement for this device’s firmware would be perfect, however I’m not expecting that.

Questions: 1. Though I am perfectly willing to try flashing firmware, I’d really rather not brick this any worse than it is. Any help would be most gratefully appreciated. Jim “JR” P.
