Ask a new question. There are two desktop Macs that print no problem through this method, but the PC simply won’t work. Connecting to the printer through either of the Macs sends a page as though it has printed, but doesn’t actually do anything. Connecting to the printer directly still wirelessly dithers for a while before saying Printer Not Responding.

I’ve tried various different hints and tips from dozens of forums, including telling Norton to leave port alone and making sure the driver and Bonjour are both the latest, bit versions. I also tried printing via a little Netbook, using Win 7 Starter, and didn’t get much further with that. The only slight difference here is that I’ve not changed any of the port settings, but I can tell the printer to do a nozzle check.

Both Macs are still printing fine wirelessly and yes, the laptop does work when it’s plugged in. It is no more special than my wirelessly communicating with the Router by typing that IP Address in the Address Bar too. I have never checked but I imagine that if I was wired connect to the Router, and it wireless to the Printer, the same would be true?
